Is COOPESA a private company or associated to any airline?

COOPESA is an independent MRO, dedicated to the professional maintenance and repair of aircraft, with more than 41 years of experience.


Does COOPESA hold the FAA and the EASA certificates?
COOPESA is fully certified by the Federal Aviation Administration and by the European Aviation Safety Agency as well as other Latin American and Caribbean nations, such as Costa Rica, Mexico, Guatemala, Panama, Aruba,
Bermuda, Colombia and Venezuela.


On what kind of aircraft COOPESA works?


COOPESA works on Boeing 727 and 737 aircraft, as well as McDonnell Douglas DC-8 and DC-9. B-757 and Airbus 320 will be added soon.


How is the process in which COOPESA handles incoming and outgoing parts?

We have a large stock of parts and we work with more than 250 authorized suppliers, with FAA/EASA approved parts. It depends on the work scope. On average COOPESA can deliver a "C Check" aircraft in 20 days. On an average D Check, the turn time is 48 days.

COOPESA has over 750 employees and the size of the hangar is 86 thousand square feet with six bays for narrowbody aircraft.
